American Sign Language Instruction is dedicated to provide education for people of all backgrounds to learn about Deaf Culture.  We work hard to ensure that our students are satisfied with their learning experience.  Our curriculum is designed to meet the needs of various learning styles.  We ensure that our students get the support they need in order to achieve a satisfactory learning outcome.

Griseline Dionisio Jusino also known as Mrs. Grissy is an inspiring, heart-full individual who has dedicated her life to learning about the Deaf community.  Her inspiration came about when her first born daughter was diagnosed with hearing loss at the age of two, 30 years ago.  Ever since then she dedicated herself to learn all she could about the Deaf community just so that she can learn about the world that her daughter would once become a part of.  Her eagerness to ensure that the communication between her daughter and her grew and this served as a motivation for her to become an interpreter and a teacher.   In turn, she obtained a Deaf Studies degree and a Masters in Education as well as becoming a Certified ASL/Spanish Interpreter.  She has over 17 years experience and has provided services within various fields (educational:  New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE), VESID-ACCES-VR, medical and mental health).

Melissa grew up in NYC and attended St. Joseph School for the Deaf (SJSD) and Lexington School for the Deaf in NYC.  Melissa graduated with honors from SJSD.  She graduated from Penn Foster HS.  She attended college for a couple of years and hope to return to her studies in the near future.  She loves spending time with her children and family.  Her husband is Deaf as well.  Melissa has 3 lovely children which are considered CODA's - Children of Deaf Adults.  All of the children are fluent in ASL.  (Native Deaf Cultured).

Lynet grew up in NYC.  She attended St. Joseph School for the Deaf and Lexington School for the Deaf.  She graduated from Stratford Career Institute.  She is a dedicated mother and a compassionate person.  Lynet likes social media and loves to teach children and adults.  She likes to have movie time with her family.  Her husband is also Deaf.  They have 3 lovely children two of which are Deaf and one hearing (CODA).  Everyone communicates with ASL at home.  (Native Deaf Cultured).

Johanna was born in Humacao Puerto Rico.  She was raised in the Bronx, NYC.  She attended St. Joseph School for the Deaf and Lexington School for the Deaf.  Johanna has 2 adorable Deaf girls.  She loves to spend time with her family, the swimming pool, and being outdoors.  Johanna's husband is also Deaf.  (Native Deaf Cultured).

Angelina is a beautiful, outgoing, creative and optimistic individual.  She assist with office work and classroom activities.  She attends Archimedes Academy.  She loves dolphins and wishes to become a marine biologist.  She enjoys dancing, singing, drawing and loves to help people.

Jeremy is a creative and charming person.  Although Jeremy is hearing his first language is ASL.  Jeremy has a Deaf sister and a hearing brother.  He assist with office work and classroom activities.  He graduated from Reading HS in Pennsylvania and attended Trident University.  Jeremy enjoys playing guitar, music, video games and exercising.

Ramonita also known as Nena is an outgoing, helpful and creative person.  She graduated from Jane Addams Vocational H.S.  She attended City College.  She assist with office work.  She enjoys knitting, souvenir making and music.

Sincer (pronounced "Sincere") is an intelligent, outgoing, enthusiastic person.  Sincer's first language is ASL, his parents are Deaf.  He attends Liberty Middle School (LMS).  His interests are space, sci-fi, creation, construction, imagination, sports, nature, gaming, sports, and simulation.  He hopes to study military science.  Sincer assist with classroom activities and with blog post creations.

Jimmy is an enthusiastic and creative individual.  He is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Health Science Degree.  Jimmy is fluent in ASL.  His sister is Deaf and he is the youngest of three siblings.  Jimmy is an interpreter in training.  He assist us with interpretation and classroom activities.  His interests are playing guitar and gaming.
